OUR PROCESS
We Build Custom Homes Throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast Area
Our team will guide you through the entire home building or full-scale renovation process. We recognize the trust you put in us, and we take the responsibility seriously. Our goal is to ensure that the experience you have through the entire process is communicative and enjoyable.
Consultation
Every custom home build, full-scale home renovation, or home addition project starts with an idea.
We will sit down with you, listen to your overall vision, and begin the process of turning your dreams into a reality.
If you are wanting to build a new home, we will discuss your style preferences and lifestyle requirements. If you are looking for a renovation of your existing home, our team will review your existing home, so we understand the starting point.
Budgeting
We will work together with you to produce preliminary drawings that match your needs and budget expectations.
Coastal Contracting will tender all work to our trusted sub-trades and suppliers and complete a full audit of all quotes. Our team will prepare a comprehensive budget for review with the client before requiring sign-off as we proceed onto the next step.
Building Blueprint
An additional service that we are proud to offer is our “Building Blueprint.” This consists of survey and elevation certificates if needed, a complete set of plans, and a room-by-room pricing of the build. Once all of these documents are completed, the client owns them.
Pre-Construction
Coastal Contracting will work through and finalize design, drawings, engineering, and construction details. We will procure all necessary permits (building, electrical, plumbing, etc.) as required. We will develop a comprehensive schedule and milestones for the project.
Construction
We will work with you throughout the construction process with progress updates, change orders, and timelines. Quality control, sub trade management, and liaising with all professionals involved throughout the construction phase of the work.
Completion and Occupancy
Welcome home! We will provide you with a walk-through of your new home to ensure your satisfaction, in addition to answering any questions that you may have. We’ll review helpful tips and important information you may need in the future (e.g. service trades, maintenance schedules, warranty information, etc.)
